[not quite convenient thus far to dig out my volume E of the composition notes to check the ones numbered 100+, but the "title" on the cover could just have been chosen for visual impact alone from a list of pieces provided by the players perhaps? or by/with jz..?

3. fast-rising brit alex hawkins, for example - as i know from personal correspondence occasioned by my (typically self-important) spoutings on the blog. mr hawkins was a stimulating and friendly correspondent, and i have also enjoyed listening to (what i've heard of) his music. (said spoutings were followed up..!)

4. just using a pulse track doesn't count if no secondary territores are (then or later) worked into the mix, and the eventual shift to comp. 69q is straightforward enough, no crossover as such, just the cueing up in the rhythm section of a theme which eventually gets joined - this was of course de rigeur in concert for years, over a decade in fact, before the term collage was deployed.

5. (not doing full days until next sept..!) the relistening of the last track then led quickly enough to a replay of the rest of it (except the main body of 23c, but this will all be explained in due course, soon!) and by this time i was aware that two articles would now be needed; except insofar as 40n's drone itself is concerned, the *ideas* in those last few paras are deliberately not updated at all from what i was originally planning to say. [the words and punctuation will have changed quite a bit {{{@@@}}} ]

straight, then, i had been listening some, and enjoying, and plotting to write though never quite squeezing much in :-S - it's a journey, right..?centrifugehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00110896886246132385noreply@blogger.com
